Vacuuming Tips - One Size Does Not Fit All

No vaccum works perfectly for every type of floor and an incorrect vacuum can cause premature wear on your carpet. Many vacuum manufacturers have focused on creating products with extremely high suction that typically perform well on low-pile carpets and hard surface flooring. These vacuums with high suction do not work well on thicker high-pile carpets and may not be the best choice for your nex luxuriously soft carpet.

When vacuuming high-pile, wool, wool-blend, and premium soft carpets, looks for these features:

Light Weight: A lighter vacuum will be easier to maneuver and will not penetrate the carpet's surface as deeply as heavier models.

Adjustable Features: Adjustable beater bars, brush rolls and motor speeds allow you to customize the vacuum for ease of movement.

Efficient Airflow: Avoid vacuums with very concentrated or sealed suction.

Large Wheels: Select a vacuum with wider wheels to keep the vacuum higher on the carpet's surface so that the vacuum glides across the carpet.
